Rheumatoid Arthritis: Physical therapy is a very good option in RA to prevent muscle atrophy and joint pain.  You have to consult physiatrist ( not psychiatrist!) to formulate appropriate pt plan. Ask your pcp or rheumatologist to refer you to one!

methotrexate for rheumatoid arthritis dose it work and anyone had side effects?

Yes.: My colleagues believe it is the first  choice (acr and eular), but while I use it as a second or third drug, the benefit/risk ratio is incredibly good.  Methotrexate has little or no justification to be taken orally though. Unpredictable absorption, stomach concenbration build up, and going to the liver on first-pass!  the liver sees 600x the ultimate concentration in the blood.

is edta safe and without side effects? i hear it's good for clearing the arteries.  i am 62 years, have rheumatoid arthritis and osteo arthritis.

Controversial: Currently the one accepted indication for edta chelation is for lead and other heavy metal toxicity. It is a very controversial treatment for other conditions including coronary artery disease. Most mainstream medical organizations do not advise this treatment. Organizations like acam which is an alternative medicine organization advocate its use. I do not recommend this myself.

R.A. can be serious: There is no natural remedy or cure.  Spontaneous remission is very unusual and can't be brought about or depended on.  You need to see a rheumatologist for management as R.A. can lead to disability and deformity if untreated. You need to be on disease modifying drugs particularly at your young age and being a woman.

Many!: Methotrexate, sulfasalazine, hydroxychloroquine, doxycycline, minocycline, cyclophosphamide, azothioprine and more!  then, you have the tnf-alpha drugs: humira, remicade, enbrel, cimzia, and more.  Then other biologics: Rituxan and orencia (abatacept).  New drugs will shortly be online as well!

Wrong diagnosis: Diagnosis is wrong or your activities prevent it from working, but medications don't always work.  Your doctor should be able to provide direction.

What blood tests?: The rheumatoid factor test is not specific and is present in numerous other conditions and even in normals. The ccp antibody is a much more specific test for ra. If you have no symptoms of ra, no treatment is needed.

There are many: This is impossible to answer here.  You need a rheumatologist or internist to follow and manage the problem.  Some patients need only nsaids others need more specialized drugs.  The side effects and risks must be weighed against the benefits in each case.   Disease modifying drugs have made a huge difference in the treatment over the past several years.

Many drugs: Used to treat rheumatoid arthritis have potentially serious side effects. Doctors typically prescribe medications with the fewest side effects first. You may need stronger drugs or a combination of drugs as your disease progresses.
Nsaids
steroids.
Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs 
immunosuppressants. 
Tnf-alpha inhibitors
other drugs.(anakinra, Abatacept , Rituximab , actemra).
