There are many: This is impossible to answer here. You need a rheumatologist or internist to follow and manage the problem. Some patients need only nsaids others need more specialized drugs. The side effects and risks must be weighed against the benefits in each case. Disease modifying drugs have made a huge difference in the treatment over the past several years.

DMARDs: Ra is treated with disease modifying agents (dmards), usually starting with methotrexate. If that is not sufficient tnf agents such as enbrel, Humira or Remicade (infliximab) may be indicated. See a rheumatologist.
