when to know if you need rehab/detox vs seeing a psychiatrist for help & medication management?

Inpatient or out?: One could have 2 conditions at the same time -- such as depression or anxiety disorders, plus substance (including alcohol) abuse ("dual diagnosis.") inpatient rehab or "detox" is needed when someone is dependent on a substance and is in withdrawal.   Inpatient treatment may also be needed if patient's psychiatric illness is so severe s/he can't keep self safe as an outpatient.

Good idea...: If you are having acute symptoms, or things are changing rapidly, you may want to go directly to the Emergency Room. If your condition needs diagnosis and expert advice in selecting the proper medication, a psychiatrist would be your first choice. Depends: It depends on how prepared you are.  I will say that about half of the women giving birth at my hospital get an epidural and another 10% or so get IV medications like narcotics.  Birthing classes can help you prepare for birth.

is qvar and effective control medication for asthma management? side effects please?

Yes: In general , yes but not all people with asthma responds to QVar which is an inhaled steroid.  The major side effects are hoarseness and thrush at the throat area which can be mostly prevented by using an aerochamber and gargling with water after each treatment session. Large doses in young children may resulted in around 1/2 inch of loss in eventual height.

where can i find information about how pain management medications does do damage to your gums if taken over 10 years straight? i read a scientist study in 2003 but i forgot the information so i definitely need to restudy it.. thank u for your time!?

what is an effective and safe pain management medication and/or regimen for erupting wisdom teeth? what dosage?

Erupting 3rd molars: Can certainly be painful. You need a dental exam to eval the issue & get the best care/treatment. In the mean time, rinse with warm salt water (just a pinch of salt) & consider otc analgesics such as tylenol (acetaminophen) extra strength (2 tablets) or Ibuprofen 400-600 mg (2-3 tablets).  Take these only if you are not taking other medications that conflict. Your Cipro should be helping too. Good luck!
