i had 2 mirena (levonorgestrel) iuds for a total of 10 years. i had the last one removed about 9 months ago.last 2 months period has been on only spotting when i wipe?

I think it would be: very unlikely that any menstrual irregularity you are experiencing now would be related to the Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD that was removed 9 months ago.  Are you now using another form of contraception? Is there any possibility you could be pregnant?  One of the first things I would do is check a pregnancy test. If negative, and no other symptoms, perhaps wait another month, and then contact your doctor.

Iud removal: The spotting should stop within 1-2 weeks. If it last longer than that you should be checked for a possible infection or hormone irregularity.

Varies: This, of course, varies for each patient. It is not uncommon to have spotting for a few days after insertion. It may even last a few weeks. With the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud, because it has a low dose progesterone, it may even cause irregular cycles / spotting ... This is not common, and the vast majority of patients report light periods or no periods.

Most commonly: If you have spotting after sex it suggest that the act of sex is irritating a susceptible area.  This is most commonly the cervix.  So it would be prudent if you saw your gynecologist or primary care so that they can examine your vagina/cervix for any lesions that may be susceptible to bleeding when physically irritated during sex. Yes: Spotting at ovulation time is common, it is due to a small dip of your estrogen level during that time.

Spotting with IUD: I would recommend communicating with your OB/GYN. Spotting is common while your body is adjusting to an IUD up to around 6 months. Since you have had yours for closer to 9 months, a discussion with your OB/GYN and an exam would be a great idea. Good luck.

Endometrial breakage: Hormone fluctuations and endometrial (lining of the womb) premature shedding may be causing the spotting. If the next period is the same scenario, see your MD.

Possibly: The Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD is good for 6 years and the copper for 10.  The Mirena (levonorgestrel) has some progesterone hormone in it which helps to prevent heavy periods. It's possible you have the Mirena (levonorgestrel) and the hormone has worn out. See your Doctor and have replaced.  Hope that helps!

i had a therapeutic termination on june 27th and had the typical 2weeks of bleeding then some spotting the following got an iud im still bleeding?

Check with MD: Your MD needs to make sure that the termination was complete and that the IUD is in the correct place as causes for prolonged bleeding.
