Stomach pain: First we should determine the cause of the stomach pain. Many patients have stomach pain because of diet related issues, others from inflammation, genetics, virus, bacteria, etc. Have you tried a no-gluten, very low carbohydrate diet before? If now, start this first. You may find you will no longer need meds. Do you smoke? Where do you work? Work with chemicals? Consult with us to help you better.

: Any of these will do Generally the first two work well. But if your symptoms are recurrent pl see your doc.

Probably not: The pain of pancreatic cancer usually requires powerful medications for pain.

took neozep at 2pm. then took robitussin (guaifenesin) at 3pm.had upset stomch then took maalox... the pain is still there so had tramadol for the pain at 4pm.over?

More isn't better: I'm sure you know now that taking Neozep (chlorpheneramine, phenylephrine and acetaminophen) and then Robitussin (guaifenesin) (various versions) just 1 hr later may have been too much too soon.  Taking tramadol 1 hr after that may just add to nausea etc.  You list cough and gallstones as a condition, so perhaps your pain is due to the stones in which case you should probably see your MD as soon as possible.

Reflux: Try taking Prilosec over the counter . Avoid spicy food and limit caffein intake . If symptoms worse advise to see a physician

Maalox: Yes, you can take maalox along with dexilant (dexlansoprazole). However, if your gerd is not controlled on dexilant (dexlansoprazole), you need to talk to your doc about further work up and treatment.

Quick fix : Why do so many people prefer to take a pill than to make an actual change in their lifestyle?  In part because 1) it seems easier, and 2) short term thinking is common.  It places more responsibility outside of themselves, whereas making healthy choices requires taking responsibility for yourself.  Sad but true: the promise of a quick fix is irresistible to people averse to change.

Maalox: Yes. If you need extra help with heartburn take Tums (calcium carbonate) or Maalox but not on a regular basis.

No: There is no evidence that maalox causes c. Diff. Antibiotics are associated with the development of c. Diff.

Not quite: However, they are very close to being identical.
