i've had swolle lyph nodes for 2 years without change there small and below half an inch and are located at both sides of my jaw. i also get light heads when i raise my head to quick. could this be waldenstrm macroglobulinaemia?

: Unlikely. If the nodes have not changed in two years, it it not malignant. You can watch and wait. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. is it normal to get light headed when raising ur head fast? or could this be linked to lyphoma. i have a couple of enlarged lymoh nodes and i'm worried incase this is a symptom of lyohoma. the lyph nodes have also not changed in 2 years and are small?

It depnds: Cancer is uncommon. Lymph glands can become cancerous due to lymphoma. But then they will progressively enlarge in size to over 2-3cm. If that is the case, then go get checked by your doctor.

lymph node biopsy? for every type of cancer, is it standard to do a lyph node biopsy?  what does it typically detect?

It : It is not "standard" to do a lymph node biopsy for every type of cancer.  A cancer may be diagnosed after having spread to a lymph node from a distant site, e.g. From a lung or stomach.  When cancer therapy is possible by a surgical procedure, i.e. It has not spread to surrounding structures from the organ in which it has arisen, it is standard procedure to surgically remove lymph nodes in the region of the cancer to determine if the cancer has spread to the adjacent lymph nodes.  The presence or absence of the cancer in these lymph nodes is then used to determine what kind of additional therapy is necessary to aid in "cure" of the cancer.  Additional forms of therapy are chemotherapy (anti-cancer drugs) and radiation (x-ray therapy).

i have a stiff neck right side for awhile now can the strain. cause swollen lyph nodes on that same side?

Not likely: Swollen lymph nodes are not typically caused by a muscular strain; they usually represent your bodies response to infection or inflmation.  If you have had persistent swollen lymph nodes on the side of the neck, a good medical check up would probably be a good place to start to be evaluated.

Lymph nodes? : How do you know they're lymph nodes? That's a very unusual place for lymph nodes.  More likely they're bakers cysts.  See your your doctor to be sure.

i have feelable pea sized lyph nodes in my neck, groin and jaw. i've had these for 3 years and i'm very very slim. they haven't changed over the 3 years too and i haven't got any symtoms of lyphoma. they all are movable too. could this be lyphoma?

: Lymph nodes are scattered throughout the body where they do their work sifting/cleaning the lymph fluid. A thin person with movable pea sized nodes in the places cited is normal. You can't fix normal, nor do you obsess about serious disease at their presence. See your doc yearly for a regular health exam and enjoy life.

doctor did a ct scan for swollen lyph nodes in groin said just an infection took abtibotics swelling went down but not to normal size? what to do?

Well, I don't know: Particulars about your situation - but sometimes it can take quite a while for lymph nodes to return to their normal size. They don't necessarily shrink all the way back down as soon as your antibiotics are finished. Take care.

urgency to pee, back ache. negative uti. ct scan show no kidney stones but some lyph node swelling. dr didnt seem concerned. could it be shingles?

Not shingles: Your DR is probably right to elect watchful waiting as the best strategy for awhile.
