please advise if it's ever "normal" to have knots/lumps in lymph nodes of neck?

Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well.

Not likely: Painful lymph nodes is almost never a sign of hodgkins lymphoma, especially without any weight loss or night sweats.  However, i agree with dr. Kittaneh, your should definitely get it checked out.

See your dentist : Tender nodes suggest an infection, possibly of a lower tooth. Get it checked out.

Fever: The symptoms are nonspecific.  However given you have had then 3 weeks I would check it out.

Sarcoidosis: Neck node enlargement from sarcoid is rare and if it is there, you can feel it. See an ENT doctor to r/o sacoidosis in your nose.

my 6 year old son has had enlarged lymph nodes of the neck for 4 years now, his ldh has gone from 487 to 522 in 3 months, what does this mean?

Many things: LDH is a rather nonspecific test. It can be elevated in cardiac, blood, liver, lung, muscle, kidney disease &amp; malignancy.  Your child's pediatrician or gastroenterologist are really the on's who you should be discussing this with, since they are familiar with &amp; managing your child's health.

i have some lymph nodes 1side of neck under 1cm.

The lymph node isn't: -a Sentinel not for breast cancer axillary nodes R. As long as your breast xam is normal, the pain can B from underlying costochondral junction pain. This would B sore 2 deep palpation on the bone as U describe. Can B from unrealized trauma which can B mild. NSAIDS if you can take them. Also not many males have Md breast xams so go 2 a surgeon for evaluation for peace of mind.

i think i have scalp infection. have rashes, pimples, extreme dandruff, lymph nodes back of neck. how to confirm it and get rid off it?

Scalp Hygiene: You should see a dermatologist, in the meantime applied a shampoo
which will be useful for fungal and bacterial infections.
It also will be useful, if you could have your hair cut Short.

As you have lymph nodes in your neck is quite possible that you have
an ongoing infection, you will require culture and sensitivity of the organism
and started on antibiotics
