Comfort care: Metastatic lung cancer is difficult to deal with, both as patient and family.  The transfusion and elevated heart rate are signs of blood loss and hypotension. Treatment should be focused on making the remaining time as comfortable as possible.

5 year survival Rate: According to the american cancer society the 5 year relative survival rate for stage IV breast cancer is 22%.

Sadly, not good: I'm so very sorry, but stage IV lung cancer, especially ones that have spread as much as your mother's has spread, doesn't carry a very good survival. 

But, you should get together with your doctor and a cancer specialist to figure out the best treatment options. I would also figure out overall goals of care and find out what your mom would want. Best of luck, and hang in there, ok?

Lymphoma: Lymphoma is a type of cancer that occurs when white blood cells (lymphocytes) behave irregularly. Abnorma lymphocytes may divide more frequently and can form "nodules". Lymphoma may develop in many parts of the body, including the lymph nodes, bone marrow, spleen, other organs. Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad  like bacteria, viruses, cancers, etc.  When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts.  They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react.  They shrink when all is well.

Depends: There are many kinds of "lymph node cancers" (lymphoma). Hodkin's vs. Non hodkin's, aggressive vs slow growing. Some are terribly aggressive, can cause death in weeks, and respond poorly to treatment whereas others can be present (often unnoticed) for years and cause no problems even without treatment. You need to be a bit more specific for us to answer your question.

Depends: It may indicate cancer metastasis or spread… do you have a previous history of intra-abdominal malignancy such as: colon, pancreatic or liver cancer?

Cannot know: A single enlarged lymph node does not immediately mean you are likely to have cancer. It bodes well that you do to have other symptoms. Please plan to see your primary care provider for work up and physical exam. Be well.

i've had a lymph node on the back of my neck for over a year now. it's about 1 cm. hard but movable. should i be worried about cancer?

No: Just check the node about once a month. If it does not grow bigger, you do not have other enlarged nodes, it would be okay to wait and watch.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.
