It isnt: Luvox (fluvoxamine) is not fda approved as an antidepressant in the us because it would be too costly for the drug companies to do the studies to get this apprivoal.  Luvox (fluvoxamine) is approved for social anxiety and OCD and is also generic so there is also no financial gain to do any more studies.

Depends on dose/age: Depending on the dose/age and physical status inpatient treatment may be necessary. Infants, children and elderly may need immediate medical care. Inpatient for someone who has made a serious suicide attempt by overdose. Life support may be necessary when there is respiratory distress, cardiac failure, coma - often seen when there are other drugs/alcohol involved as well.

Possible: Possible, may not be common. Luvox (fluvoxamine) occasionally can cause low sodium levels in the blood, and spirono-lactone can make low sodium worse.  Symptoms of low sodium can be mild like nausea, but can include lethargy, confusion, muscle spasm, weakness or unsteadiness. If you have these symptoms you should have a blood test for electrolytes.

OCD: Luvox may or may not be the right drug choice for you. Additionally, there are many types of therapy. If you haven't had cognitive behavioral therapy - that can be very effective.
