hi there, im having lumps on my groin area and my armpits which produces pus and swell up and causes pain after a few days if i irritate them. what do you think it could be? this has been going on from when i was 16. i am 21 now. thank you

Hidradenitis: What you describe is most suggestive of Hidradenitis suppurutiva which is a condition of recurrent skin infections usually from a bacteria called staph aureus.  Treatment often consists of aggressive daily hygeine with antibacterial scrubs and potentially a nasal or oral antibiotic as well to reduce recurrence rates.  A family doc, internist or dermatologist can diagnose and treat this condition.

: Sounds like an abscess. It needs to be drained by your doc or a surgeon otherwise it will not heal. Pl do so

Need treatment: As described, you definitely have some infectious process going on, like an abscess or boil/carbuncle.  Antibiotics would most likely need to be prescribed and you may need an incision and drainage (i;d).  Best wishes.

Vaginal lump: Would follow up with doc. Was likely infected bartholin cysts, may need antibiotics to totalyl heal it. .

Watch and see: It is not uncommon for a lump of scar tissue to remain after an abscess drains itself. If it is not red or painful then it is likely to continue to get better. If it stays the same for more than 2 weeks or if it gets red and sore again please see your family doctor.

No: Most cancers grow as solid tumors.  On occasion, a tumor can grow very rapidly and outgrow it's blood supply.  The center of the tumor can then liquify;  this typically will contain bloody fluid rather than pus.

Infection can spread, produce pus &amp; require antibiotics. Need to bathe with soap/water prior to shaving, use shaving cream or gel to limit trauma, use clean razor &amp; change after 2-3 shaves to prevent recurrence.
