brother found  boney  lump at  end of sternum. it doesn't hurt, he feels fine but worried it could be cancer. his xray shows nothing. your opinion?

Normal: We all have a bony process at the end of the sternum, called xiphoid process. You may Google xiphoid process to see pictures.

: These are often calcium deposits or just thick cartilage. I would bring it up at your next checkup for conformation. Otherwise don't lose sleep over it.

Get checked: Get evaluated ASAP!  A malignancy (cancer) or related growth needs to be ruled out.

Likely not cancer: Asymmetry in muscle mass in the chest wall (pectoralis) can be explained by inequality in pressure exerted by the upper arm while doing isotonic or isometric exercises . (cancer can be diagnosed only by biopsy) go see your dr for any concerns. Take care!

i found a tiny lump under my skin on my chest below my shoulder on the side it's bot really visible but i can feel it. i can feel it most when i push down on it. it's not hard but not sift either it's hard to describe should i worry about cancer?

: Since it is difficult for one to describe what they see or feel, it's best to visit the PCP or Dermatologist for proper evaluation and appropriate management if indicated.

Why cancer: Lumps on chest can be many things most of which are benign. If been there a while and unchanged probably nothing. If new have someone look at them.

To see your doctor: You have to see your primary doctor.
Weird lump is not necessary malignant lump. Biopsy of lump might be helpful for diagnoses and treatment.

Not likely: Not likely. I recommend seeing your doctor. Sounds like a rash. Cancer of the skin tends to be just in 1 place.
