See doctor: This is not normal.  See a doctor and find out what damage was done by your fall.  The sooner the better.

hada fall on the knees but the knees were ok pretty soon   a week ago. inoticed a brown spot behind my left knee. no pain.  like when you get a bump. i was touching and felt a little lump under the brown spot. am getting nervous about the spot, wonde?

: if the brown spot and lump are since the fall it probably represents a small bruise or hematoma that occurred as a result of the fall. They should slowly resolve on their own with no treatment. If they don’t or they get larger a visit to your PCP is in order.

Recommend : You have  few conditions that definitely require doctors evaluation. Swelling of the knee and thigh lump need as minimum XRay. Please make appointment ASAP.

i got injured my knee, & the time of the fall. i heard a pop. there is swelling and lumps on the side of my knee, bottom shin & top of knee. the pain is getting worse its sharp, aching pain that comes in waves or constant feels its in mid knee area?

: It is impossible to diagnose the results of an injury to the knee based on just this description alone. It certainly is clear, however, that the knee needs to be looked at. X-rays or other test may be necessary. I would proceed to an emergency room or an urgent care center. Use cool packs on it intermittently while you are heading to get help. Good luck.

If there's no infection or inflammation evident, or if they've been there for more than two weeks, you need to see a local doctor for an evaluation.

See details: Swelling in the back of the knee often is the result of a popliteal cyst (baker's cyst). If it is not causing problems it often requires no treatment. See an orthopedist if you are concerned.

Is in on the: back side of the knee? if yes, maybe a baker's cyst.  Is it under the knee cap? If yes, maybe bursitis. The only way to really know is from medical eval. Take care.
