i had a mastectomy 25 years ago.after 4 years i had a small lump removed on the same scar.i then had radiotherapy for so many weeks. i now have a breathing and coughing problem .could the radiotherapy be the cause?

:    There are many causes of coughing and respiratory problems, ranging from infections to heart failure to COPD and asthma to tumors.  Radiation can also cause radiation pneumonitis and scarring  contributing to breathing difficulties. However, you would need a thorough examination and workup to determine the cause of your cough and respiratory problems and one cannot jump to any conclusions .

Bakers cyst: It that location, behind your knee, a lump is either a baker's cyst or a popliteal artery aneurysm. An ultrasound will quickly and easily give the diagnosis. The lump is not likely to be related to your breast diagnosis, but very important to get a diagnosis.

i have had major pain in left shoulder that goes under the arm and into breast..i had a double mastectomy 9 years ago. i have lumps in left bresst?

Without knowing: Your exact history, it is impossible to say, but left shoulder pain can come from heart.  Or it could be spread of cancer to bone.  It could be something as serious as a fracture or pulmonary embolism, or simple as a sprain, or even shingles.  Time to go see a doctor for evaluation for all of these possibilities.

is it true that n testing a lot of lumps in breast that you can not have whole breast ultrasound? im being scheduled for a double mastectomy instead

Was MRI considered?: Did you get a biopsy? What was the diagnosis? Mri should be definitely considered. Mri is capable of accurately evaluating the extent of infiltrating ductal & lobular carcinoma in both breast at same time and finding additional, mammographicly occult, areas of disease. Was it your decision to get double mastectomies or was cancer found in both breast?

Breast removal.: The standard surgical treatment for breast cancer, modified radical mastectomy, involves removal of all breast tissue including the nipple and areola, as well as some of the lymph nodes under the armpit.  Simple or total mast-x is identical except no lymph nodes are removed.  Selected patients may be treated without skin removal (nipple and/or areolar sparing mast-x; sub-q mast-x)

Breast is soft tissue with generally good tissue planes allowing relatively technically safe and reliable procedures. Bruising, swelling, and some pain are expected and controlled.

Maintainyour figure: If you mean mast. Bra and external prothesis -it is to maintain your figure after mastectomy  they also make partial implants for filling out partial mastectomy voids ...... Downside  hot, itchy in the summer-colder than you in the winter  and expensive  needing to be changed yearly but most insurance companies pay for them.
