There are many causes of coughing and respiratory problems, ranging from infections to heart failure to COPD and asthma to tumors. Radiation can also cause radiation pneumonitis and scarring contributing to breathing difficulties. However, you would need a thorough examination and workup to determine the cause of your cough and respiratory problems and one cannot jump to any conclusions .
