: That will be the main concern and the first entity to be ruled out with many other benign causes more likely and commonly seen. Seeing your doc and adopting a strategy, either watchful waiting, possible treatment if an immediate source is found, such as a local infection or inflammation or proceeding with further tests and possible excision/ biopsy would be best at this point.

i have a damaged vocal cord due to thyroidectomy, lately i  noticed an internal lump above collar bone left to the neck, could it be related?

Perhaps, if: your thyroidictomy was performed for cancer, it could be recurrence in lymph node.  Otherwise, lump is probably not directly related to nerve damage.  Ask  your surgeon for further advice.

lump above collar bone, pain for 2 days only. dr said it didnt feel like a lymph node and could barely feel it. xray clear but radiologist recomnended u/s so dr ordering one. scared i have cancer. why u/ s if xray clear and dr said not lymph node?

: Any Trauma or Lab work performed ?  I would look at a Bone Scan , no offense, since you are female and 40 y/o , for a better rule out on CA, if bone scan shows a hot spot, then further investigation is warrented.

i have a small pea sized lump above my collar bone on the right hand side of my neck. it moves a little under the skin and i've had it 5 weeks?

Watchful waiting: It may be a lymph node. Check it about once a week and if it gets larger, becomes painful or doe not move, it would be prudent to see your doctor.

Yes: If it is bothering you I would have it surgically removed. It is an easy quick outpatient procedure. Likely this is a fatty lump called a lipoma but very slight risk of something more serious such as an enlarged lymph node.

i have a hard lump right above my collar bone on the right side of my body. i can feel a heavy pulse when i touch it and it feels like a small rock. ?

R/O DVT ER EVAL!: Although it is unusual you can have DVT(deep venous thrombosis ) = blood clot in this area. Or an aneurysm(dilated blood vessel) in either case I would recommend prompt ER evaluation for Ultrasound or MRA of the area to define the problem. Since the mass feels pusatile , less likely a lymph node or lipoma. Seek ER evaluation promptly! You will also need a full clotting work up.

i'm a 37yr old female with almost all the symptoms of hypothyroidism but i have also had a lump above my left collar bone for about 3mths?

Get evaluation!: There are several causes for hypothyroidism, including causes that cause the gland to grow quite large. You would do well to consult an endocrinologist . A doctor that studies endocrine system including thyroid .  This Could be goiter, a cyst, or something more insidious.  Only a careful history and examination and blood tests and perhaps imaging studies of thyroid gland will tell.  Don't  delay!!

? Old fracture: This could be an old fracture with a callous formation.  If you have never had a fracture, you should see a doctor for further evaluation of the lump.

Lymphnode: This is probably an enlarged lymphnode. These drain lymph from particular areas of the body and can be enlarged if there is inflammation,infection or a cancerous process going on.You may have had an inflammation in the head and neck area causing this
