Weight loss: I am sorry to say that anyone that suffers from weight gain will be able to lose the weight and return to eating whatever they want without gaining it back.  It is about balance and a healthy lifestyle to maintain weight loss.   If you return to the habits that gained you the weight to start with - you will regain your weight.  If you over indulge one day reduce it the next day or exercise more.

LPR: Treatment includes inclining the torso when sleeping, avoiding chocolate, mint, caffeine, alcohol and large meals prior to bedtime. Acid reducing drugs such as Prilosec reduce scarring. Pulmonary, ENT or GI specialist consultations may be necessary if symptoms are intractable.

Reflux: The majority of reflux can be treated with lifestyle changes alone including diet changes. You should also avoid eating 3 hours prior to sleep and sleep with your head elevated. The extremes which you follow depend on the severity of your symptoms. If your symptoms are worse with coffee, there is your answer. I would see the ENT doctor to ensure that your head and neck exam is consistent with LPR.

LPR/GERD: Well, truth be told, yes you do. Proper diet, weight management, lifestyle changes and proper medication use can help 95% of those who suffer with this. The other 5% need surgery, but the hope is that it never comes to that.

Multiple symptoms: Lpr or laryngopharyngeal reflux disease is caused by acid travelling all the way up to the throat.  Often you will feel like there is a ball in the back of the throat.  You can also experience burning, tickling, excessive mucous production, throat clearing, cough, hoarseness, and difficulty swallowing.  I see you go by "musicalmd".  You can also lose your upper range & need prolonged vocal warmup.
