Multiple symptoms: Lpr or laryngopharyngeal reflux disease is caused by acid travelling all the way up to the throat. Often you will feel like there is a ball in the back of the throat. You can also experience burning, tickling, excessive mucous production, throat clearing, cough, hoarseness, and difficulty swallowing. I see you go by "musicalmd". You can also lose your upper range & need prolonged vocal warmup.

Hoarseness : Lpr diff sx than gerd. Usually hoarseness, sometimes a feeling that something is stuck in throat, gagging or coughing when eating. Treatment is still reasonable to use ppi, but make sure you see GI or perhaps even ENT to make sure throat area looks ok.
