The clinical effects of a high TSH will be very troubling to you.

Take more Synthroid (thyroxine): If you're following your tsh, i'm assuming that you have hypothyroidism on replacement therapy.  The number is opposite: if you are not on enough synthroid, (thyroxine) the TSH is high. If you are on too much synthroid, (thyroxine) the TSH is low. Look at the normal range for tsh. If you feel sluggish, cold, fat, or constipated; you may need an increase in your dose (or you may need to start thyroid replacement!).

If you're exposed to foods which suppress your thyroid and then avoid them, your thyroid function could normalize -- making your TSH decrease too. Low normal,,,: This is on the lower side of normal.  It's in normal range but it's low and it'd be a good idea to get the thyroid readings checked and see if they're high normal or low as it's important in deciding therapy if needed. Yes: 1-2 is the mid normal range for TSH and is the goal many doctors treating hypothyroidism strive to get the level to.  Many people will feel better with the level in this range.
