i had pink coloured urine today. i'm a vet so i did a dipstick and there was 2+ blood 1+ protein in urine. i have been having lower back pain?

UTI or kidney stone?: A urinary tract infection (UTI) or kidney stone would be at the top of my differential. Are you having any fevers? If so pyelonephritis would be of concern. I would get a urinalysis and urine culture to start.

List of problems : This list of problems can be from things like kidney stones to cancer.  Best to get looked at by an md for testing.

See details.: The ct scan would have shown evidence of a renal cell carcinoma so that is ruled out. The high protein is indicative of significant kidney inflammation. I would suggest seeing a nephrologist (kidney specialist) for an opinion.

Second test: You may have a resistant infection. Call your physician and get a repeat urine analysis and culture. If you are having unprotected intercourse, get screened for STD exposure.

Depends: Pain in the back on the side or "flank" pain can be due to kidney stones.  Yellow urine?  Do you mean dark urine?  Small amounts of blood in the urine will tinge it dark.  Kidney stones and kidney infections can be very painful.  It is worth getting evaluated and seeing if there is an easy fix to your condition.  It could also just be muscle strain in your back.

Yes: If you are taking pain medications that are narcotic, muscle relaxers, or other meds that have the potential to make you sleepy, then yes. If you had severe spinal cord/nerve compression, you likely would not be able to void voluntarily. There would be saddle numbness and likely pain into legs as well if related. So I am doubtful that you have cauda equina syndrome with only the 2 symptoms listed.
