Bladder infection: It sounds like cystitis or a bladder infection. Generally kidney infections are associated with a high fever, vomiting and flank or mid back pain. It can progress from cystitis. You need a urine assessed and cultured. Along with likely antibiotics. All the best.

Not kidneys : Contrary to common belief, problems involving the kidneys make up a small fraction of things that cause low back pain. Most low back pains are from the lower back. Muscle spasm, ligamentous strain, pinched nerves, and damage to the small joints of the back are amongst the most common causes of low back pain. Your doctor is able sort out if this is referred pain from kidneys or something else.

If infection related: then pain is constant and progressive typically-not on and off.  If no fever, chills or sweats as well as no urinary symptoms then it is unlikely related to an infection  of the urinary tract especially if the pain is made worse with certain activities or positions and better with other ones. If symptoms progress then seek an evaluation from a physician in any case.

See specialist: These may be unrelated, ormight be related. I would recommend 1) seeig your kidney doctor or whomever took care of the iunfection to make sure it is gone, 2) seeing your primary care doctor regarding loose stools or treat symptomatically; then 3) see pain management md about lbp.

Need to look for an: Other reason for pain: urine cultures would be positive with kidney infection, with or without the bladder being involved. If two cultures were negative when you were not on antibiotics, then please discuss with your doctor to consider other causes of pain.

UTI with back pain : Speak to your doctor today, soon as possible. Sound like you may need antibiotics while waiting for the results. If you have dizziness, you may need to go to the hospital
