Not uncommon: Muscle tone is an important indicator of a baby's development.  It can suggest some developmental problems if the tone is low (or floppy).  But, it's important to understand that babies all develop differently and not necessarily within the pre-conceived parameters.  If tone is a concern, be sure and follow up regularly with your physician for checkups to be sure than any problems are detected.

Hard to say: Is this part of a condition? Can u excercise? If you have recurrent pain issues coming from the body an snri would help, like cymblata 30mg but unsure if you are out of shape or have a muscle disease.

Many types: There are many different types of muscular dystrophy, some of which do not show symptoms until even adulthood.  If you have concerns about your child's muscle functions, best to go to a large pediatric academic center that has a muscular dystrophy clinic.  There you will find the various experts who can determine if there even is a problem, and it so, what it is. Best to use experts here!

Anything you can: You can and should do all that is physically possible to maintain strength and flexibility.  I encourage my patients to do whatever resistance training they can.  This depends upon how significant the level of CP is. Make sure you work with someone who can create a safe program for you, because you don't want to put yourself in a position where you could get hurt.

Confusing question: A kid od 9 mo should sit well and i don't understand why you say it is not a neurologic problem.The nervous system controls the posture, so it is involved.A neurologist may not have much to say at this point, since the issue may resolve or persist.It may take time before enough clues are available to put a label on the issue. Work with your team and be patient. It may or may not be a problem later.

i have had lifelong borderline hypotonia or low muscle tone. it runs in my family. i inherited it from my paternal side as did my siblings. i started ritalin for adhd and it normalised my muscle tone. what could be happening? i want an alternative?

: If I understand you correctly you prefer a low muscle tone. Ritalin has more musculoskeletal side effects than Adderall so you can request your doctor for a trial.
