This has been a controversial test for two decades; the claim is that it reveals an additional coronary risk factor, though what is to be done about this isn't clear at least to me. Others may have ideas to share. http://vmj.sagepub.com/content/7/1/29.full.pdf (recommends "research only").

Methylation: When homocyateine is elevated there is problem with methylation. Methioneine, methyl folate, (folic acid) methyl cobalamine, and magnesium may all be helpful. Low blood pressure  occurs with a histamine reaction. Vitamin c and bioflavanoids, copper avoidance and understanding histamine intolerance (google it) will help. Alcohol avoidance, frequent healthy meals, stress reduction, and frequent movement helps.

Stop.: These items will not really help  you, and the lexapro (escitalopram) is for anxiety or depression. They are promoted by the manufactures and sellers, and not regulated by the FDA  unless there is a proven danger to health. Stop taking everything except lexapro (escitalopram).  With that money, buy a gym membership and exercise regularly.  The best buy for  your money. Exercise is also known to  improve anxiety and depression.

Yes, alt tx: These are alternative 'natural' remedies for depression. My experience is that they are only marginally effective alone and require multiple combinations of natural compounds to equal a standard antidepressant.  The cost of all the 'natural' ingredients is often more than most meds and i wouldn't necessarily assume that they are any safer as there is no fda regulation of these 'supplements'.

Yes: Methionine is an essential amino acid but is metabolized to homocysteine which increases risk of heart disease, stroke etc. B12 and folate are co-factors in breaking down homocysteine.Nearly half of people have difficulty converting folic acid and other B12's to the active methylated forms so they esp. benefit from taking those forms.
