Need clarification: Histamine is a natural compound that's produced by some white blood cells. So i don't understand what you mean by "histamine intolerant." histamine is involved in immune response and allergic reactions. So basically avoid the foods that you're allergic to.

If you suspect that a certain food triggers your symptoms, just avoid it, even if it is not on the list, there is no need to suffer and follow a strict diet unnecessarily. For right management of your chronic hives, kindly see an experienced allergist or dermatologist, good luck

A little knowledge..: Investigations into this and other interesting things have a long history and continue to attract attention. Gains are made, but no clear facts have been found. There is no reason to thin it causes schizophrenia - even if people w/ Sz are more likely to have high levels (which is not clear yet). Causation is different! You may have developed allergies to those foods - get tested. Avoid if so. Best

Histamine Intoleranc: In addition to diet control, you could try diamine oxidase formula that works in the gut to degrade histamine from ingested food. Dosing: or optimal results, usually prescribed as to take one (1) or two (2) capsules no more than 15 minutes before the consumption of histamine-rich foods or substances known to cause food intolerance; or take as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

See details: Low C3 and C4 can be seen in numerous conditions or may have no clinical importance at all. The conditions you list would not cause the low values. Why were the tests ordered in the first place? You should address this question to the doctor who ordered the tests.

Ignore it: "Histamine blood test" is at the borderland of scientific medicine. Whether "histamine intolerance" is a real / common entity (I suspect it is) and whether the best test is a spot lab (I don't know) are questions that I will let others answer decisively. It's hard to study. I would not be at all concerned if you're below a reference range here -- this is just what MOST people have.

Apples: An apple a day - quercetin in apples, stablizes mast cells and prevents degranulation from basophils.  They are a natural remedy and should provide minimal side effects. It is also great for people with allergies during allergy season.

Many: An oral cromolyn product may be quite helpful for some people.  Avoid alcohol if possible.   As for a low histamine diet, i really don't know what you meant by that since histamine in food or beverage is not easily absorbed and it makes little sense in avoiding them.
Even the classical case of histamine-induced reaction " scrobroid fishing poisoning" cannot be explained by its histamine content.
