my stomach is constantly making loud gurgling noises. no pain, but the noises are embarrassing. is there anything i could do to help keep things quiet?

Not abnormal: Gurgling is simply due to gases and juices within the intestine and these occur after eating and even when the stomach is empty. If there are no other associated symptoms, there is nothing to worry about. Avoiding carbonated beverages and fast foods may decrease the gurgling. Avoid swallowing excess air and don't smoke.

i've been getting really weird stomach gurgling for the past few weeks, not hungry grumbling but like bubbling, and it gets really loud.

Air makes noise: Everyone swallows a bit of air when they  eat or drink. This adds to the "stomach bubble" which is quite visible on x-ray. When your stomach processes a meal it squeezes/mixes the contents which will make a gurgling sound. It is hard to separate that noise from the noise of bowel gas in the large intestine as it passes through the upper colon, next to the stomach. Gas-x might help, or burp it out.

on 4/7, threw up 12 times and couldn't hold anything down (no other symptoms), then 4/8&9 my stomach has been constantly gurgling very loud w nausea?

Stomach Flu: This sounds more like food poisoning than the stomach flu. If you have no fever and are improving you may be even better in the morning. If you are feverish or getting worse than please go see you doctor tomorrow.  (btw i love newberg).

Something you ate: And are not digesting well can be causing the gas. Try some enzymes and see if that helps. Chamomile tea might help as well...Or peppermint pills.

i have really loud gurgling noises coming from my stomach and anus . i also cannot seem to empty my bowels even though stool is soft . please help?

Not certain, But...: Based upon your description, I suspect that you are just extremely constipated.  I would recommend trying milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) or a similar medication to try to "jump start" the system.  See your primary doctor if it persists for more than a week or if you develop significant stomach pain.  Take care, and I hope you feel better soon!

can ibs cause loud stomach noises/gurgling and rumbling? had cdiff but been over a year since last had it. haven't had recent abx or exposed to cdiff.

It can.: IBS in and of itself can cause loud stomach noises, due to spasms of the intestines. It is possible to have recurrent C. diff, but unless you develop recurrent diarrhea, It is unlikely to be the cause of the sounds. I would not be concerned unless you develop other symptoms. Good luck.

It may...: The sounds you are hearing are simply air moving through tubes (your guts). The air can be caused by eating fast causing you to swallow air, or by gases caused by the bacteria in your gut processing food. While Gas-X (simethicone) does not reduce the production of gas, it does break down gas bubbles, allowing it to pass with less discomfort. This can also help reduce the amount of sound in the gut.

Borborygmi: ...is a rumbling, growling or gurgling noise produced by movement of the contents of the gastro-intestinal tract as they are propelled through the small intestine by a series of muscle contractions called peristalsis.  This is normal and some people may have larger sounds than others. If you eat too fast, or too much, you may get nauseous. Try changing your diet and eating less fats.C Dr.if need B

Feeling gassy &amp; full: Feeling full of "gas" may reflect malabsorption of food (like gluten, lactose), intake of poorly digested food, or choosing foods known to promote gas (beans, fizzy drinks).  Sometimes its more complicated--a stomach emptying too slowly, bacterial overgrowth syndrome, delayed intestinal function, partial obstruction from any cause, infection, rectum problems, and pelvic pathology outside the gut.
