how can you determine the difference between braxton hicks, real contractions and gas pain? i'm 32 weeks

Good question: Braxton-hicks contractions are real contractions.  They can be regular or irregular.  Labor is regular contractions becoming progressively closer, and usually do get further apart or resolve.  There is also cervical dilatation as well.  Gas pain is usually irregular and may be scattered around the abdomen.  It may take evaluation in the office or labor and delivery to tell the difference.

As long as: It doesn't cause premature labor, usually it will have your cervix more ripe when u do go into labor , I am sure your doctor will start checking your cervix at 37 weeks or earlier if you are having too many contractions, and the doc can tell u where u are at.

Pressure: This is usually caused by pressure on your bladder and is often present in the third trimester

No no : Normal not to feel any braxton hicks normal if u feel a few, normal if u do not, that has nothing to do with whether  labor will be easy or not, that depends on how big the baby is and how it is coming down the birth cannal and how big your pelvis is, what is more important is for u to get an ultrasound at 34-36 weeks for an estimated weight and check the fluid and position, all my pts get that.

: It is good to have a direct communication line to her treatment team at this point in pregnancy. Calling her OBGYN nurse or nurses where she will deliver can let them ask questions that define when to worry or go in. Intense Braxton Hicks, leaking fluid, fever, etc. are all signs that should be monitored &amp; reported.

Depends: It is hard to say exactly what it s going on. Best way to find out is to call your doctor and have him evaluate you. Most of the cases the pinkish discoloration you describe it s harmless, but it is better to get checked and reassured.

i'm 32 weeks pregnant been to the toilet 4 times less then an hour it's runny and been having more braxton hicks and pain in the front of my belly at the bottom should i be worried?

Diarrhea: Take some probiotics, yogurt and during hydration fluid. If you don't get better go to ER

what could it mean to measure 2.6 weeks ahead on ultrasound and fundul height? i'm 32 weeks. what could the outcome be? i have a irritable uterus also. baby is 5p 6oz. is it normal to feel pressure on bowels with braxton-hicks had it for 2 weeks now.

Difference : could a variation of the actual ovulation/conception day. Also could be a  sign of gestational diabetes,  or just  a larger baby.

Still contractions: Braxton-hicks although normal @ 28 weeks are still contractions. If they are recurrent (> 4/hour), cause pelvic pressure or persistent pain, or increased mucousy vaginal discharge, get checked by your ob. Try to limit any activities that cause these contractions (intercourse, exercise, lifting, etc) & call your OB if any of these signs of preterm labor persist or worsen. Take care.
