We loose weight: over our entire body.  Spot reducing is not effective.  The amount of running or other exercise that helps depends on your present weight and metabolism.  If your doc clears you for exercise go for it, same w/lower carb food plan.  Overall health is the best goal.  Peace and good health.  Ask a personal trainer about "stomach crunches" to tone up your belly muscles a bit.

Weight : You are doing all the right things. Belly fat is the most difficult to get rid of.you may eventually require a cosmetic procedure to get rid of it. Good Luck

Spot fat loss does: Not occur naturally. By losing weight in general some will probably be abdominal fat. But, we don't get to choose what area of body fat is lost from. Eat healthy &be physically active. Calories burned must &gt; those consumed. Tighten ab's: crunches, reverse crunches, exercise ball crunches, pelvic thrusts, lying leg raises, side bridge &“bicycling” exercise on back. Do regular aerobic exercise.

Diet and exercise: Only treatment that works is diet and exercise. Eat less then you burn off. 3500 calories to the pound. Will reduce your risk of diabetes, high bp, heart disease, cholesterol, infertility, etc. Other than that, the only method is liposuction.

If you have: Belly fat, your almost certainly overweight, so weight loss would probably help. It depends upon the number of calories burned up that you don't eat, not the type of exercise. It's 3500 calories to the pound. Any exercise can be effective, except your body will choose where to lose the fat and you can't direct it to a specific place. The exercise can help maintain muscle in other areas.

Can't!: You can tome up and strengthen core muscles of your torso, but you cannot selectively lose weight from only one area of the body.  Cut your carb intake if you have an "apple" build, because there are basic metabolic differences, such that apples preferentially add weight to their torsos.

Belly fat: It can be the last thing to go.  Keep doing what you are doing. Exercise, low glycemic diet.  You may want to consider food allergy testing.
