Please see below.: If you have completely healed from the C-section and your Dr. has cleared you to return to full activity, jumping rope should be fine.  Even walking at a brisk pace will help you lose excess weight.

Trial of labor: There is no right or wrong answer. A trial of labor with timely c/section if there is inadequate progress of cervical dilatation would be a reasonable approach.

Some think so: Obgyns begin to worry that the uterus may have more likelihood of spontaneous rupture in late pregnancy or labor after several c sections. This is a catastrophic event & one worth concern as both mom & baby can be lost. That said, i scrubbed in on a mom's 5th decades ago. I would discuss this with your OB & see if they worry more for some than others.

Higher than average: If first pregnancy probably 40% or so, average c-section rate for all first pregnancies is about 25-30%.

How Many Caesarian?: With every CS birth, the chance of uterine rupture and other serious complications increases. Also, the surgery becomes more difficult and risk increases.  The practice varies from country to country about how many CS births a person could have. It also depends on the health of the patient. The best thing is to discuss with your doctor about your particular situation.

You can ask.: Prelabor cesarean section by maternal request accounts for at least 5% of all cesarean sections in the U.S. At this time. Many obstetricians object to this, but most will be fine with such a request and honor it after appropriate counseling, especially if you are only planning to have 1-2 children. Talk to your obstetrician - and good luck!

6 months to a year: You want to let yourself heal so wait at least 6 months before trying to conceive.

Tubal: You can get your tubes tied following a vaginal birth.  It is a relatively simple procedure performed while you are still in the hospital through a small incision at your belly button.  You don't need the csection in order to tie your tubes.

No easy answer: So profoundly sorry to here about your baby. There are never any easy answers here. I have seen miracle babies in this situation, but as likely is a baby with a lifetime of challenges, dependency and need. You need to sit down with neonatologist, a pediatric neurologist and have a frank and open discussion about what lies ahead for you and this child. There is not a one size fits all answer.

VBAC: If you've never had a c-section, then unless there is trouble during delivery then vaginal birth should be expected.  If you've had a previous c-section then there is controversy about following deliveries and the safety of a vaginal birth.  Many obs will default for repeat c-sections because the risk of uterine rupture and other serious complications are high in subsequent pregnancies.
