Tachycardia: It would be better to identify the cause of your tachycardia (t) rather than to blindly treat it with a beta blocker (b). See your physician (p) and get the answer to your question.

Poss but not Probabl: While viral infections are ubiquitous; they are self limiting for the most part.  Hence, if the "sore bladder" persists and the symptoms of a viral illness are gone then further evaluation is necessary and reasonable. 

Pots represents a disorder of the autonomic nervous system and there is strong autonomic supply to the bladder.  Thus, there may be a connection.  Please see your doc to discuss.

Accepted Answer

Both medications: are similar, both belonging to the same class of medication.  Losartan 50 mg is also at about the same efficacy (strength) as candesartan 16 mg, as at max dose Losartan is 100 mg and Candesartan 32 mg per day.  So really you are comparing oranges to oranges.  Try one and see if it helps.
If it matters to you, losartan is usually a lot cheaper than candesartan.

Compliance: It will be better if you consult a physician and get it from a local pharmacy where you are currently located.

Losartan: Losartan can be taken BID so that would be fine. You may want to try to take 50mg one day and 25mg the next and see how that works.

Acei vs arb: Enalapril is an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor and losarten is an angiotensin receptor blocker.  Both work at the kidney level to control blood pressure and reduced proteinuria.  Acei can have a side effect of cough while arbs do not.

Not recommended: Both losartan and bystolic (nebivolol) may have an additive effect of lowering blood pressure when combined with alcohol.  One might experience headache, lightheadedness, changes in heart rate, or fainting with this combination.  For this reason, it I can be recommended to abstain from alcohol while on these medications.

Side effects: Fatigue, Hypoglycemia, Anemia, Urinary tract infection, chest pain, weakness, diarrhea, cough (more frequently in patient in treatment with ACE)

This are the more frequently reported side effects for losartan.

Accepted Answer

No equivalence: Diltiazem, a calcium channel blocker, cannot be substituted for losartan, and angiotensin receptor blocker.

Both may be used to lower bp, but there is no simple way to figure if the patient is a good candidate for a switch or what kind of dose should be used. Depends on too many variables.

Possibly: The only way to know is to monitor your blood pressure at home and in the office to see if it is at goal. Also, your doctor will check your kidney function to make sure there are no side effects on it.
