This snags in the pulley through which the tendon runs and can prevent with some pain, the full motion.  By elevating the limb, you can reduce the swelling and get the area to move through the pulley.  Of course if the locking of the forefingers is with a partner - then this is probably love.

Possible OCD: You are showing symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.  Everyone has a touch of it, especially under stress, or you may have a true case of it. Mental illness along with active plans to harm self or others, psychosis, severe depression with inability to look after self, mania in bipolar disorder, etc are all possible situations that might need inpatient treatment. There are longer term units for more severe illness.

Yes, but...: Boys who have grown up in chaotic / abusive / violent homes have learned behaviors that enabled survival but that serve them poorly as adults. They tend to be mistrustful, confused and may withdraw. This is better than continuing the pattern of violence. There's little you can do beyond kind words -- you can't change a person and they may resent your efforts. And some people simply to be alone.

Muscle spams could also be secondary to lumbar disc disease possibly irritating a spinal nerve. A good history and physical exam by a pain specialist or a physical medicine physician should help in an initial diagnosis, to be able to formulate a rx plan.
