Not the key: For decades, the "pop" wisdom is that fried foods containing a great deal of this-or-that type of fat are "bad for you" and this actually matters. Especially for the past 15 years, this is extensively questioned and there's even much skepticism about whether we should ever have taught this. I'd urge you to exercise intensively, eat sensibly, stay trim, and not focus too much on food choices.

Different Mechanisms: Both are osmotic laxatives that increase fluid secretion and GI motility. Both are indicated for chronic constipation and ibs with constipation. Amitiza (lubiprostone) and Linzess act on different sites in the gut wall. Linzess is indicated once daily and Amitiza (lubiprostone) twice. Take lizness before food and Amitiza (lubiprostone) with food. Common concerns: amitiza- nausea (food helps) and chest tightness, linzess- diarrhea.

Likely more healthy: There have not been health outcomes studies done with air fried potatoes. It is likely more healthy to eat this than deep fried potatoes. You'd want to oil used to be heat stable so not to make trans fats.

No known: There are no known adverse reactions when taking phillips milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) and simethicone concomitantly.

Laxative: milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) should be fine with those two drugs if you need it

is luna ii cpap a good replacement for the resmed? there is a long waitlist for resmed due to phillips recall. luna ii is available now. is it better to wait for resmed or are they equivalent machines? thanks?

: By customer satisfaction survey, ResMed earns better rate but Luna II can be used as a replacement. Due to recall, you won't get the ResMed soon. The iphone app for Luna II is not as good as ResMed in case you are a tech savvy person.

Sure, sort of...: Each person with constipation needs to work with her doctor to figure out the cause and the solution. Otherwise if the constipation does not resolve, and the patient has to use something daily to move poop along, and happens to use MOM for that daily purpose, it will appear as though she is dependent on MOM. Some people use different meds on different days. Doctor has prescription meds too.

if it can't be taken during fecal impaction, why is that?

Constipation: Fecal impaction should be treated by enemas or digital disimpaction. By taking Linzess it promotes water in the colon but if there is a hart stool impacted it may not push it out without either softening it or removing it digitally.
