i have small bumps in the back of my throat for a month now. recently  i experience  ear pain in both ears. also i have few small red lumps in the floor of mouth and also a white patch..wht could all this cause..i know  oral cancer has these signs.?

Oral cancer: First, oral cancer at your age, unless you smoke (anything) or abuse alcohol, is rare. Greater probability that you may be dealing with an infection. Please see both your Dentist and you Physician for examinations. Once cause can be determined, appropriate treatment can be administered.

Too many answers: Sometimes lesions and ulcers indicate an oral diagnosis as severe as gatrointestinal disease.  And sometimes, bumps are just bumps.  An oral examination (by a dentist) is critical in determining which is which.

ridgeline like bumps running perpendicular to frenulum underneath tongue on both sides of mouth and one movable hard bump on floor of mouth underneath tongue. are they blocked salivary ducts? what could cause them? they are painless, just concerning.

Bumps: Could be minor salary glands. Hard lump could be stone in submandibular gland duct. Should have this checked by ENT as small salivary gland tumors can occur in floor of mouth

Probably: Most probably normal anatomy that you are just becoming aware of.  Small chance it may be pathology.  How do you find out?  Seek examination by a Dentist.

Probably normal.: Tongue is a very strong muscular organ, that's coated with an outer epithelial 'skin' that has deep hills, valleys, crypts.  These can appear as pockets or bumps all intermingled with each other.  All this is normal. If some have red dot, may be a blood spot where tooth slightly bit tongue. Suggest:  gently brush tongue--top and sides daily with soft toothbrush or tongue scraper--good oral hygiene.

im 19, have a small painless lump on inner bottom gum on the right side. (floor of mouth side of gum) it looks mouth flesh-coloured. what could it be?

Lots of things: Could be a small boney protuberance called a torus, a blocked swollen minor salivary gland, a draining abscessed tooth, a gum infection, or one of innumerable types of lesions.  Has to be examined to be diagnosed.  Please call your dentist for an appointment.

i have a small lump under my tongue like an alsore but doesnt hurt, is very red. its not in the tongue but floor of mouth. what can it be.

See your dentist: It could be a blocked mucous or salivary duct, mucocele or any other pathology or even normal anatomical structure. It is always recommended to check with your dentist or PCP  and have it checked out.

should you be able to feel your sublingual glands below your tongue? i can feel a small bump on each side of my mouth floor. one slightly bigger.

Yes: Yes,the glands can actually be palpated with your fingers, but should not feel enlarged to your tongue. Please see your Dentist or an Oral Surgeon for an examination, which we can't do in this format. Even a picture would probably be diagnostic. Physical examination is necessary to determine if something is amiss.

i have a small bump under the skin near the gum line on the floor of my mouth on the right side. you can't see it in the mirror you can only feel it.

i have a liquid filled bump on the floor of my mouth for 3 wks.it reduced a little since i started gargling salt water n apply daktarin gel.im worried?

Accepted Answer

Mucocele: When a salivary gland becomes obstructed, fluid builds up resulting in a mucocele.
If it persists, see your dentist.
It is not a serious problem.
