Won't help: While hydroxycut may be safe now, most of the over the counter diet aids are a waste of your money.  If you are  putting in consistent effort and not getting results, two options might be more helpful than diet pills.  First is to have some visits with a nutritionist to figure out more exactly what and how much you should be eating, and maybe a trainer.  Also, check with your doc about thyroid.

Caution: Crushing pills can cause potency to be elevated significantly which on the case of hydroxyl it could cause heart palpitations and possible dangerous arrythmias and high blood pressure. Not recommended at all.  A proper diet and regular exercise will last much longer than a pill.

Water: 3 days of wt loss?  Much of this is probably water.  If you continue at that rate of weight loss it will be harder to keep it off than if you loose it slower.

As : As far as I am aware diet pills do not interact with birth control pills, however you may wish to ask your gynecologist for another opinion. It sounds like you are on the right track with exercise and eating right. You may want to try this first before starting a diet pill. By eating five to six small meals a day you can jump start your metabolism. Also consider seeing a nutritionist for a dietary consultation.

First, : First, this really needs to be discussed with your psychiatrist.  I do not know your dose of medications.  Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors can be associated with weight gain. Just some things to discuss with your psychiatrist. Sometimes, Lexapro can be more weight neutral than zoloft.  There are many studies that have shown weight loss with use of wellbutrin (bupropion) in depressed individuals who watched food intake and got a minimal amount of aerobic activity. Maybe there is room for an upward shift of your wellbutrin (bupropion) dose?  Rather than adding another chemical into your system (xenadrine or hydroxycut) see if there could be some titrations with your current medications. Another thought might be use of medical acupuncture or hypnosis to assist with obtaining a heatlhy weight.
