my implant got an infection in it. i had an oral surgery to clean out the infection. its been 4 weeks and there is still numbness in the left lip and chin. what should i do?

Numbness: This is usually a transient issue and it can take up to one year for it to return.  There should be progression of return of sensation over time. Check with your doctor and let them know where the numbness is present.

my oral surgeon want to do nerve repair surgery. had implant 1-2-15. i have tens like pain in lip & chin. ct shows implant close but not touching nerve. should i do surgery or see if it heals more.

Surgery may be best: Without knowing all of the details, your implant isn't likely to "heal" any more than what is has after 5 months. With significant pain at this point, a surgery is the treatment most likely to resolve it.

Paresthesia: This question should be discussed with your own surgeon based upon the dental history, radiographs and planned treatment. If you don't have 100% confidence in your own surgeon, get a second or even a third opinion from another Oral Surgeon or Periodontist who has extensive training and experience placing dental implants.

i had local anesthesia for surgery to insert a temporary implant.  this the second day of the surgery and i still feel some numbness on lips.

Depends on the local: There are several local medications available the shortest is lidocaine which lasts only about an hour. There are others like  last significantly longer. I would expect however that any local should be resolved by 30 hours or so. If the numbness continues call the surgeon and discuss this.

got jaw implant surgery 7 years ago due to a very narrow jawline. right side had some scarring inside my mouth but wasnt a big issue. over the last year some mild pain has developed on that side. jaw implants seem to be shrinking. what can i do?

: See an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for evaluation. If possible see your original practitioner for comparison of your current situation to your current situation. Bone remodels, but metal implants do not change shape.

Yes: If you want white teeth try bleaching them by seeing a dentist for trays and bleaching gel. Full lips can be attained by injecting dermal fillers which should be done by a cosmetic surgeon or doctor/dentist specially trained to do this.
