my 3 months old baby having a dark green poops for almost 2 months, now his having a dark gray sticky poops.i'm not changing his formula since then.

Normal variation: The main agent adding color to the poo is the material made by the liver called bile. It starts out a dark green and goes thru the yellows to brown depending on the influences of various factors in the intestines. Rapid transit thru the system, as may occur with diarrhea or breast feeding may have a greenish yellow or yellow appearance. The slower, more likely browner.

i recently switched my son from breast feeding milk to formula. it is a ready to feed formula. today his poop came out a dark gray. its the first time its happened. should i be worried? i am very much an overthinker?

: Elimination color may vary. If there is no mucus,blood or chalky appearance, most likely within normal. Review growth with your Pediatrician and watch for signs of rash and diarrhea.

Colonoscopy: I'm concerned about a change in bowel habits at your age. If you haven't had a colonoscopy in a few years, I advise having one now. Otherwise see your MD or a gastroenterologist for evaluation and advice.

Abnormal stools: Malabsorption comes to mind which can be intestinal like celiac sprue or pancreatic like chronic pancreatitis; also colonic problems, infection, inflammatory bowel disease are in the differential diagnosis-see your gastroenterologist

Silver vs. melena?: Dark-colored stools may result from iron supplements, foods you eat (like a lot of spinach), substances (like peptobismol), but most significantly suggests bleeding. When blood is denatured by acid in your stomach, as from ulcers, stools will turn tarry ("melena"). Blood may also be ingested from nose bleeds, bleeding gums. Silver-colored stool suggests bleeding from the biliary tree. Get checked.

Skin tag, hemorrhoid: It could be many things-- skin tag, external hemorrhoids, perianal abscess etc. The risk for you to have anal cancer- at your age- is low.  See your md and have it examined, if it bothers you.

Need water: Try drinking more water. Drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

i had a weird, small, gray pod like structure in my stool. on one side the point was black. otherwise the stool looks normal, but i have had more bloating lately. i also took anti-parasitic medication a few months ago in january. any thoughts?

: You may wish to discuss with your doctor about getting a test for blood in stool. 
In the meantime, start exercising. Begin with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity so that you sweat profusely. It may take a few months for the full effect.  Wish you good health!

Doubtful: Transient stool color change is very common and is hardly a serious problem.  Dark yellow urine is a concentrated one.  True liver disease results in chalk colored stool with dark tea color urine.
