Consider:  Acupuncture or acupressure.  Just using an acupressure band can help.  Consider ginger.

does adhd in child require life long medication?  does anybody outgrow it?

Accepted Answer

Some outgrow it: The assistance medication has for some adhd kids can eventually diminish as the pass through adolescence & many will discontinue it at that time. I encourage kids/parents to do at lease a wk off meds @ least once a year to see if they notice a difference in ability to focus & complete tasks. If none seen & work is proceeding well, stop med. Some kids recognize the benefit & may need it as an adult.

Asthma: Some outgrow their asthma but others feel good because of their meds. Ask your doc to monitor you if you want to try to wean off.

do pinworms ever go away 100%? or are they in you for life? (using medication)

They die: Most meds  act as a toxin to kill them. They shed and are gone, however, re-exposure to pinworm eggs can lead to a re-infestation numerous times. Pinworms are also uncommon in adults. Itchy bottoms are not always pinworms. The symptom can represent many other issues.

Its a balance.: Antipsychotic meds are often better than the alternative which is psychosis.  If you are having significant side effects you should be discussing with your doc.

You can do well: A general answer - with some mild limitations as far as extent and intensity of the activity the quality of life can be very good. Control with medication is important as well as with lifestyle factors, like diet.  The prognosis and likelihood of possible worsening of the CHF is also closely tied to the reason for the chf, so hard to predict without knowing that.

: In many cases, disc ruptures and protrusions can desiccate and shrink spontaneously over a 9-10 month period.  Surgical indications include lack of response to conservative pain management, progressive muscle weakness and atrophy, urinary dysfunction, and spinal cord risks.  You do NOT list any of these.  Yes, get physical therapy and a second opinion.

Eczema : Eczema and xerosis (dry skin) often respond to moisturizers and topical corticosteroid cream for short periods of time.  A humidifier when the air is dry is helpful.  See a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Half lives vary: Each medication has its own half life that varies some with the individual.  Half life refers to the amount of compound remaining in the blood stream and not the effective time that the medication is active.
