Pinworm: They can go away. However, one usually takes OTC or prescription medication & repeats in 2 to 2 weeks. Usually the whole household needs to get treated or you can get re-infected. Deep cleaning is needed to prevent re-infection.Pinworm eggs can survive on contaminated surfaces up to 3 weeks.
