Fast 8 hours: It's best to maintain an 8 hours of nothing by mouth prior to any fasting lab studies . If you can schedule your lab draws first thing in the morning,  it's typically easier to maintain this standard.

Blood on paper: Blood on paper may be due to a number of reasons, and the color of the blood is the important factor. If you have never had this experience before it may be nothing. If concerned i would see my dr asap to discuss the situation to determine a cause. There really isn't enough info here to tell you more than that.

Green tea: speeds up the metabolism a little and helps burn fat.  The effect is very small and w/out proper diet and exercise it won't do much.  Please see your doctor for a good diet and to make sure you are healthy enough from some exercise, even simple brisk walking.  Ask the doc about a low carb and higher protein food plan. Haven't : Heard that one but raw almonds are very good for you  and as a snack would helps maintain blood sugar just by keeping insulin constant. Raw they don't aggrevate cholesterol

Seeing a  Doctor is best at this point.
