Chondromalacia patel: This is probably chondromalacia patella this is softening of the Cartlidge underneath the kneecap. The best therapy is to strengthen and the quadriceps muscle. These are the thigh muscles.

See  Below: Sounds like a muscular injury.  It's always difficult to tell without an exam, but if you stop the tennis for a bit, it should improve.  If it does not, you need to be examined.

Rest: Rest, stretch, use NSAIDS, and remember to start slow and gradually increase the weight. Use less weight next time and be consistent. You will train your muscles to be able to lift more and recover but you must start slow.

Should get better: Pain is your body's way of telling you what you can and can't do...Listen your body.... Also, there are other exercises that strengthen legs well without so much stress on your low back.

Presses for speed: Doing strength exercises will augment your speed to some degree. There is no substitute for old fashioned sprints and intervals on the track though.

Back pain: Lunges and squats really put a lot of stress on the low back. You risk converting a bulging disc into a herniated disc. Isometric exercises are better to build the core muscles. A weight lifting belt can protect the low back if you have to do the lunges and squats. Consult with a personal trainer to avoid further injury to the low back.

i have bow legs and my fibular sticks out a lot on the side of my leg. is this normal and can i still squat heavy weights despite this?

Probably: Hard to say for sure without knowing the severity of your bowleg issue. But you can do the weight lifting. If you start to have knee pain and problems then see an orthopedic doc. Don't squat excessive weight amounts. Hopefully you are being supervised by an athletic trainer.
