Hernia vs muscle : After a 5k it could be a muscle sprain. You can try taking 600mg Advil (ibuprofen) 3x day with food and see if it improves. If you notice a bulge that does not improve with Advil (ibuprofen), it could be a groom hernia or a femoral hernia. You should see a surgeon where they can do a thourogh phyisical exam.

i have osteioartheritis in both my knees and was experience leg pain i found that if i elevate my legs at night it helps the pain  what can cause this?

Makes sense: Most knee problems are made worse by weight bearing. Elevating your legs takes all the stress off the joint so it makes sense that you would feel better.

Best to be seen.: It seems that you are doing all the right things for the initial treatment. Of course there is always the chance of dvt, and concern is warranted. Although your description does not have the classic picture, there is no way of removing all doubt until you are examined.

: There are many conditions which can be the cause of elevated D-dimer. Blood clot is suspected when D-dimer is high but not all people with elevated D-dimer have venous thrombosis. Please note that leg pain is not a typical symptom of deep venous thrombosis.

Possible: It is possible that foot pain can come from a pinched nerve in the back.  The other possible causes can include problems with the foot itself or a combination of the two.  You could potentially see an orthopedic surgeon it a podiatrist to give an opinion about whether there are issues with the foot itself if you did not feel comfortable with what the neurologist was telling you.

Spondylolysis: Back pain in adolescents is sometimes difficult to find a cause. As a weight lifter, he may have a stress fracture in an area of his spine called the pars interarticularis. This is often missed on routine x-rays and may require a bone scan. This is often seen in football linemen from hyperextension of the lumbar spine. Weight lifting can also increase stress in this area, particularly squatting.

my 6 yr old has daily leg pain for 2 months- xrays were normal. ortho ordered cbc and lyme tests. monocytes came back elevated. should i be concerned?

i have had bilateral leg pain for a few weeks and no other symptoms, and went to see my doctor who drew blood. my muscle enzymes, cpk was at 345. is the leg pain related to the increase in elevated cpk? what do i need to do?

: You need to work with your Drs and find out the cause of your elevated CPK and muscle pain.  Has it been VERY HOT where you live? R U Taking any BP meds?

Has you blood K been low? Need more info.
