Seek help with OB MD: You need to get evaluated by your OB MD in case a nerve was "interrupted"  Hopefully, this is just a mild issue post partum.

Not usually after GA: General anesthesia (ga) is not usually accompanied by such symptoms.

i need to have a cancerous mole removed on my arm or leg. could i opt out of anesthesia?

Accepted Answer

Usually yes: You can opt out of general anesthesia, and have just local anesthesia instead. 

If the tumor is larger than an inch, though, you probably want to have general anesthesia, especially if they need to take skin from somewhere else to close the wound.

No: The injection of medicine for anesthesia or anti inflammatory reasons is unlikely to cause sciatica which is due to the sciatic nerve being 'pinched'

It would be more: likely that you would be given a sedative  so that restraining you would not be necessary.

Some times possible: Even with long acting bupivacaine  local anesthesia will  lost for few hrs rarely possible    to  lost that long.  Newer sodium chanel blocker drugs like neosaxitoxin is used will lost               ( effective ) for 24 hrs . If sensations will not return by next day or so please see your doctor.

hi doctors , 2weeks ago i made 2 corns surgery right leg bottom of the leg , doctor also made local anesthesia till now i can't walk easily why?

Corns are usually : On feet. Having said, i would expect one to be able to at least walk at 2 weeks post op and would recommend you pose this question to your surgeon as we don't know the exact procedure performed or what your foot looks like i.E any swelling etc etc.

Not enough info: It's hard to answer your question without more info. What problem did the RF ablation treat, and on what part of your body? RF ablation can be done for heart problems, tumors, different reasons.

Good : Good question. 
Local anesthetics come in different durations. Your anesthesiologist will decide, based on the type and length of surgery which one they will use. This choice of local anesthetic, the amount used and the timing of it will determine how long after your surgery you should expect to be "numb". On average you should expect anywhere from 1-3 hours of diminishing numbness after surgery. The only thing that may change this is if it is decided to use the epidural for pain control after surgery and you will be staying in the hospital overnight. Just remember, when the epidural wears off, you pain will start. Hope that was helpful?  Thanks for your question.

i had a total knee replacement. i had two manipulations under anesthesia which worked for me. but i still can't bendor straighten my left leg. what should i do?

Manipulation: Likely scar formation with synovitis. May be related to effort, motivation, muscle inhibition, implant positioning, effusion, loosening, among others.
