august 2021 i learned that im iron deficient anemic. i didnt eat meat before; i do now. since then, i take ferrous sulfate. i now have headaches daily, an unbalanced feeling initially when i stand, neck & left shoulder pain. what test do i need?

: iron deficiency anemia is unusual is a male and needs to be evaluated by your PCP.  A 22 y/o male should not be iron deficient unless you are loosing blood , which is usually from your GI tract. Are you taking anti inflammatory medication such as motrin or naprosyn on a regular basis?  Do you drink alcohol regularly ? Evaluate Neck: If you are not improving have your doctor order a cervical spine mri.  Many times a herniated disc in the neck can cause arm pain especially if you have not improved with the medications and physical therapy.  If it is a herniated disc you may need evaluation from a spine specialist to determine what other options might be needed (injections, surgery, etc) to help reduce pain.

Pain: you may have pulled a tendon or ligament It should slowly go away if you need something for pain try Advil or Aleve (naproxen)

Could be a: simple trapezius muscle spasm from over stretching or a problem with the disks or joints in the neck. You're 28, the trapezius spasm/strain is more likely. Try cold packs to sore areas and after looking at an image of it online look for ways to avoid chronic strain during hunching while sitting near computer/reading/sleeping. If the pain doesn't go away in a few days, see your doctor.

Exercise: Possibly a small cartilage or labral tear. Should get better over time. But I do recommend range of motion exercise like the pendulum exercise, taking Motrin or ibuprofen. See your doctor get checked if it does not get better over a few weeks.

Muscle.: It could be muscle strain of the shoulder or rib musculature. More remotely, it can be from a pinched nerve in the neck. Depends exactly where your pain is. See a non-surgical sports medicine specialist, who could give you an accurate diagnosis.
