Muscle.: It could be muscle strain of the shoulder or rib musculature. More remotely, it can be from a pinched nerve in the neck. Depends exactly where your pain is. See a non-surgical sports medicine specialist, who could give you an accurate diagnosis.

Muscle pain: Try ice and heat and stretching. If no relief see your doctor for an evaluation and diagnosis. Could also be a nerve pain or other cause.
