Rosacea: There is an adult variant of acne called "rosacea" which presents with large pores, oily skin, and redness of the nose, cheeks, and chin area. If this is what you have, other medications are likely to help, in particular, a topical antibiotic called "metrogel" or other oral antibiotics like Minocin (minocycline) or tetracycline.

Retin-A may help: Pores commonly enlarge as we age, due to overall loss of collagen in the skin surrounding the pore openings.  Any treatment that stimulates increased collagen production (retina/tretinoin, laser  treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasions, etc) can help rebuild collagen and shrink the appearance of pores.  Prescription strength products are usually more effective than over cou nter products.

Pores: A warm or hot washcloth will clear the pores better than a cold washcloth.

PORES: Pores are not like doors. You cannot open and close them whenever you wish. Pores are the openings of oil glands; they are inherited; you cannot change their size. Oily skin & severe acne may make pores “appear” larger. Squeezing blackheads & pimples can lead to permanently widened pores. Toners & astringents can make them look smaller temporarily. And get rid of your magnifying mirrors!

i just bought polyfax and sudo cream?

: see dermatologist for proper tx. Just remember to avoid waxing your face in the future. Most likely, this is either a contact dermatitis or folliculitis secondary to the waxing product or mechanism of the waxing process itself

I : I am still looking for that magic treatment!  there are lots of claims out on the market, but nothing seems to work very well for that purpose.  Most of my patients with large pores use tretinoin cream to keep the skin texture smooth, pores unclogged, and slightly exfoliated which tends to help the pores seem a bit smaller, although I am not sure they really are.

i have very bad pores on my nose and i used a towel to wash my face and i scrubbed to hard i peeled off skin. now there is a big red patchy area.

RUBBING: is NOT the answer....
There are a number of OTC "peeling" agents with MOISTURIZERS which may help but I suspect you need a consultation with a Dermatologist. Ask your PCP for a referral.
