Pericornitis: It sounds like an infection ( called pericornitis) that occurs usually by the wisdom teeth. There is often a little flap of tissue over the back part of the tooth and food gets trapped causing an infection and swelling. This can turn into a very serious infection. Make sure you see your dentist.

have mono, but my lymph nodes have been swollen for about 2 weeks and are enlarging. should i be concerned? the salivary gland is as big as golf ball.

hello i am 20 years old and i have swolen lymph glands in my neck 1.5-2cm large moveable painfull and same size for 3 months. can that be from candidiasis i have in my throat, tongue,mouth for 5 months and also i have psoryasis on my hands and nails.

How painful?: If they're really painful, you'd be seeking to take an analgesic, but if they're merely tender (like your testes), these are normal -- they're probably your friends. I'm wondering why a grown man like yourself, with just a bit of psoriasis so far as you have shared, has candida in the mouth. If this is real, have you been checked for diabetes? HIV infection?

Watch and wait: If you do not have any symptoms you may watch and wait. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine
