my 80 yr old mom was diagnosed with a benign suprasellar meningioma 7 years ago. its now golf ball size, she has blurred vision, memory loss, muscle weakness and she suffered a lacunar stroke. can it be removed, if not what is her life expectancy?

: I believe that only a neurosurgeon can answer your questions after reviewing appropriate tests and examining your Mom. Her attending physician would assess her ability to undergo neurosurgery though.

Amnesia = memory los: The "human amnestic syndrome" includes varying degrees of anterograde amnesia (can't learn and recall new information post onset), retrograde amnesia (loss of varying degrees of information from the past, before the onset of the amnesia) and normal powers of attention and language and spatial functions.  Amnesia can be material specific - verbal only or non-verbal only- if only one-sided injury.

Many types of forget: If you mean that you do not recall portions of time when the injury itself occurred - that is not unusual. If you have persistent problems with memory in general sine the injury, that is a TBI (traumatic brain injury) related memory problem. 
Amnesia is a lapse in consciousness that disallows any (or most) recall of what had happened. One might come to and not recognize where one is. Do not drive.

Signs, symptoms and: Effects all depend on where in the brain the  infarction occurs.  Lacunar infarctions can be seen on mri, often a very small area of atrophy.

EPILEPSY : All the symptoms you mentioned can take place if sufferinmg from epilepsy. All are less serious if took place indvidually until you mention epilepsy. Then you have got to approach it more seriously and professionally. Seek neurological evaluation.

Echo: An echocardiogram alone shows muscle function, valve function , and whether the valves are leaking or tight. It does not tell you if you have blocked arteries. If you combine it with a stress test it can tell if you have blockage. A plain normal echo does not mean you can't have a heart attack.

if a younger person arrives in an ambulance by themselves to an emergency room and among their medical complaints they are experiencing symptoms of amnesia, like they cant remember anything from their past, will the hospital end up admitting them?

: At least observe them for 1 day or 2 until a safe discharge plan is in place and work up completed  with life threatening conditions being ruled out.

Unlikely,: Not unique for an MRI to show white matter lesions in pts who have history of migraine, especially complex episodes, either classical or hemiplegic.  Strokes with migraine, seems most associated with auras, cigarette smoking, and hormonal use.  The root cause of your episodes is genetic, which changes your brain glutamate sensitivity.
