Prevention: Not being able to sleep  may indicated sleep problems that can be life shortening or life threatening. The only way to know if there are serious problems is with an overnight sleep test. I encourage you to seek help.

Maybe: While not sleeping can cause your symptoms, what is causing your insomnia could also be causing the symptoms. It also could be two unrelated problems. Sea sickness type of symptoms is usually inner ear problems, which also could give you a sense of dizziness. Check with your doctor if is not clearing up by now. Most common things, allergies, ear infections. But it also could be other more serious

Bipolar disorder: If the person had the genetic potential for Bipolar Disorder, a period of sleeplessness might be a trigger for hypomania/ mania.  Or the sleeplessness could just be the harbinger for an initial period of elevated mood or energy.

Son will grow up: There is no hurry to have more sleep. Your son will grow up soon and sleep through the night and you will make up on lost sleep. There are no serious consequences from lack of sleep, in the short run, except getting sleepy while driving.

Need evaluation: You need a comprehensive evaluation. New onset of reflux is not necessarily related to anxiety. Ibs includes other symptoms you do not mention. Gad is a chronic maladaptive response to stress and stress is inevitable. There could also be other physical conditions and your doctor needs to know about any drug or alcohol use as well as any prescribed or otc medications.
