Not at all: The homozygous mthfr mutation limits your cells' ability to activate the dietary Folic Acid and the Folic Acid in the multivit.  The l-methylfolate is the active form of Folic Acid and can go right to work improving your neurotransmitter  synthesis.  But the mthfr mutations may also interfere with your complete utilization b12, ask you doctor if you need active b12, methylcobalamin, as well.

No data: Folic acid is frequently recommended because in some studies women taking it had a lower chance of having a baby with spinal problems.  A higher dose, such as 4 mg is used if there is a factor that hinders  Folic Acid acid metabolism.  An example would be certain seizure medications.  Metafolin is the natural form of Folic Acid but there are no studies to see if it prevents spinal problems.

Sounds fine: You can't overdose on either. Here in Kansas City, especially in the mid-20th century, "vitamin B12 shots" weren't always just vitamin B12. For what?: Why are you supplementing? Were you told you have a deficiency? Are you pregnant or planning on getting pregnant in the not too distant future?  You can get B12 naturally from wild fish like salmon and you can get folate (folic acid)  aturally from green vegetables and whole grains. Get your vitamins naturally when ever you can.

Yes and no: Most folic acid tablets and multivitamins have an expiration date on the bottle.  Frankly this is erroneous as this compound and many others, will not spontaneously degenerate.  Only if the bottle is kept too warm or too wet will there be a change in the potency or quality.

Supplements?: Is it high due to your taking supplements or because of folate (folic acid) in your diet. High folate (folic acid) has been associated in some studies with increased risk for prostate and colon cancer while other studies show that it prevents neural tube defects in fetuses. Get it naturally and you typically don't have to worry about high levels.

Yes: I know of no problem arising from this combination.  Beware though that some of the minerals that are in some vitamins can decrease the absorption of levofloxin if they are taken at the same time. Best wishes
