my osgood schlatters knee bump is bruised and swollen. i never hit it on anything.i conditioned a lot this week with volleyball. running and jumping?

Aggravated/workout: This area is an attachment point for the muscles of your upper leg. During growth it can go through a phase where it is soft and prone to the shearing effects of your muscle contractions. It is aggravated by your workouts as they pull the muscle tight and tug on this anchor point. Anti Inflammatories like naproxen (Aleve) and Ibuprofen can help but some have to stop workouts to stop the  pain

my 8th mnt daughter has skin rashes on head,elbows,knee,bumps,cheeks,neck,arm.her dad has psoriasis..cud it be d same n is it serious?using cetaphil.

Itchy?: At this young age, I would be more suspicious of eczema (atopic dermatitis) which may be linked to food allergies as well as airborne allergens.  If these rash itch, then eczema is more likely.  If you are using Cetaphil lotion, be sure to use it regularly and apply it within 3 mins after bathing.  Talk to your pediatrician.  A discussion of eczema can be found elsewhere.

Can't diagnose: this rash without getting a history and visualizying it. Sometimes labs are needed as well.

Osgood-Schlatter's: 6 years is an unusually long time for resolution of symptoms of O-S. I would have your leg re-evaluated.

recently started a new job working in crawlspaces in charleston sc. after a week i got terrible ingrown hairs on knees, now have bumps similar on my arms/wrists/elbows. not too attractive and dont feel good either. any advice?

Not to worry.: Keep an eye on it.  Most likely it will go away within a few weeks.  It is common to develop small skin or connective tissue irregularities.  It doesn't sound like anything serious.  

If it continues to enlarge, then get it checked out.

Bakers cyst: The main reason for swelling behind the knee is a bakers cyst. Not a serious problem but very uncomfortable.

If it is back : If it is back behind your knee it could a baker's cyst which can be drained by a doctor.

Swollen knee bumps: Swollen red hot skin bumps can mean infection of the skin such as folliculitis or abscesses, particularly if they are spreading.  Other types of inflammation can cause this, such as inflammation of the fat underneath the skin (panniculitis).  This needs to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible.
