Routine blood: Draw to include bun, creatinine for kidney and bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase, ast and alt for liver.

Basic biology: The kidney's best-known function is to remove waste from the blood, so that's easy to understand. Liver function tests is actually a misnomer -- these measure stuff released when the liver is injured. Similar tests exist for heart muscle, and blood gases are a marker for lung function, but your history and physical exam are more helpful as screens.

my s-po4 is 1.65mmol and a 2weeks later 1.59mmol. all my other test is in normal range calcium liver function and kidney function. is it something i need to worry about?

had metabolic panel and everything was mid range but total protein was 8.3 the reference was 6.6-8.2 and said high the dr wasnt worried but im curious because it said high on results but kidney and other liver function good just 8.3 protein?

Your doctors can exp: Ask your doctors what your tests show. Typically Cancer does not show in the blood unless it is a blood cancer like Leukemia. What is HSP?

my globulin level is 1.6 (low) and albumin/globulin ratio is 2.9 (high). my protein total random ur is less than 4 (low). my kidney/liver function both tested out fine. what is the likely cause of these ratios being out of the reference range?

: Since your globulin level is low, the albumin/globulin ratio would be high since it is a fraction and the denominator is low-this would make the ratio itself high. See the doctor who ordered the tests to review them. There are many causes of low protein levels, including dietary intake. So, see your doctor for diagnosis/treatment. Good luck!
