Could be: It is possibly a uti, however other conditions such as a kidney stone or other causes of urinary tract bleeding could also account for your symptoms.   Discuss these symptoms with your doctor to review and treat accordingly.

Back pain : See a doctor soon. This can be a bladder issue, kidney stone, kidney dysfunction, or an infection.  You can not treat this at home.

Flank pain: Your symptoms are fairly typical of a kidney stone or cyst; urine is concentrated; moderate blood is of concern; stones are possible; CT scan is a big test; ultrasound is easier to get; your meds can cause kidney issues - discuss this with your doctor;

Non-spine low back: Low back pain is very common, and can arise from back and other problems. Red flags for urgent evaluation include include history of trauma, fever, incontinence, unexplained weight loss, a cancer history, long-term steroid use, parenteral drug abuse, intense localized pain, and Inability to get comfortable. Apart from these, see your doctor to evaluate referred pain or recurrent kidney stone.

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. how to tell the difference between a kidney stone and lower back pain?

Not always easy: Kidney stone pain is generally unaffected by movement.  Patients often bend and twist trying to get relief. Pain often radiates down into groin and may change in nature as the stone moves.  Low back pain tends to be associated with an inciting event, tends to change with position and is often relieved by rest. Sometimes radiates to buttock or leg and may be felt across entire back.

cat scan shows kidney stones in both kidneys. largest 10mm right side. had on and off dull low back pain and blood in urine. can they cause damage?

Yes: If the kidney stone blocks the flow of urine from the kidney, you can get permanent kidney damage, but that can take weeks to happen and is associated with severe pain.  Also, kidney stones can become infected from pyelonephritis (kidney infection - not a typical urinary tract infection (uti)) and be challenging to treat.  Please see your health care provider and consider a referral to urology.

Few days: Are we sure the kidney stone passed.Is so there can be spasms of the ureter for a few days.Ask for tamulosin(Flomax) that will help .
